It’s mentally purifying when we purge the “stuff’ we keep with no other purpose than to own it. Start gathering the sellable items in your home for the First Christian “yard” sale during our church CASA CLEANSING KICKOFF for Stewardship Season on Saturday, Sept 21, 2024.
This is a tremendous opportunity to:
• Shed the items that clog your mind and living space
• Re-home these items and save them from a landfill
• Contribute to generating funds to support our church

We will have some space in the church to accept them by the end of August. Please let Carolyn Rainbolt or Verna Recor know if you need pick-up assistance.
What does a church need for a successful sale?
• VOLUNTEERS! We’ll begin organizing items one week before- details coming soon. We will need grocery or other plastic bags/boxes and wrapping papers
• Sellable items! 1-day garage sales have only few hours of sale time, so we need items that will likely sell that day, not items that “could” sell if they were marketed over time. Likely we all have something in the home that will certainly sell in one day. Begin that treasure hunt!
Please keep in mind some guidelines for certain items below as you select your donations.
• For this sale: only new or like new clothing/shoes or gently used/undamaged coats.
• For this sale: only newer, working, small kitchen appliances.
• For this sale: No beds- check with Verna or Carolyn about furniture items you want to contribute
• For this sale: No technology/electronics: such as old TVs, computers, printers, etc.
